Version 4.1 of Ephoto Dam, a version that has been hotly anticipated by our users, has arrived! We offer you a selection of 10 new features, out of the 60 that the new version has, which will enable you to make the most of your digital assets. Shall we take a look? Let’s go!
We introduced it to you a few months ago, but now it’s accessible from the Ephoto Dam interface: our Ephoto Academy online training platform.
It enables you to get to know each function of the software solution and your rights and needs. Each month, our trainers supplement the platform with new videos to present the new DAM features, tips and use cases. How do you optimize your searches? How or why do you create dynamic albums? How do you share and distribute selections? How do you use extensions optimally? The Ephoto Academy platform is there to answer all your questions.
To show you what to expect, here’s a presentation of versioning management with our image expert and trainer Eve Ichard.
In the coming months, the platform will be upgraded and we’ll offer you live sessions to chat face to face about your issues. Our aim is to bring our users together around a living Ephoto Dam community.
Take full advantage of your panoramas thanks to their native medium in version 4.1 that enables you to navigate easily at 360°.
As panoramic projections are supported, you can now see and move in your entire 360° photo. Move your perspective with your mouse, turn the image or zoom in to make the most of its details.
Many plug-ins have been updated in version 4.1. The Drupal plug-in is now compatible with the latest versions 9.5 and 10 and has been enhanced with several new features for integrators. The Ephoto Dam plugin for WordPress is compatible with the latest version 6 of the famous CMS.
In our store, you’ll find the plug-ins for the latest Microsoft Office 2021 suite or new developer plug-ins for the CKEditor 5 and TinyMCE 5 libraries.
The iPhone app has also received an update this summer for better iOS 16 support.
Finally, the latest versions of the modules for Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign and Lightroom Classic are now available in the Adobe marketplace and compatible with the latest Creative Cloud 2023 suite.
Save time in integrating your images directly from the Adobe Stock image database in your Ephoto Dam space.
If you have an Adobe Stock subscription to acquire images or illustrations, the media purchased can be imported directly to your DAM from the Adobe platform. You can then retrieve the files purchased as well as the metadata chosen to complete the indexing and make this media available to your organization.
There are many advantages:
Now, the possibility of amending the document language and in particular the keyword tree is a right that the administrator can assign.
In this way, the key contributors directly submit the candidate keywords to have them integrated in the keyword tree. When submitting them, they choose the exact location of their proposed addition and support it with a short text. The administrator who is then informed, can decide whether or not to add it, ultimately guaranteeing the consistency of the language checked.
The contributors are often the first people to find something missing in the documentary language because they are the ones who index the media on a daily basis. As the administrator is not always a contributor, this new feature enables them to escalate suggestions to be added to the tree and facilitate the development of the keyword tree directly in the software.
This also dilutes the documentary language revision which must be done on a regular basis, in particular when an organization’s structure evolves, and therefore the media that represent it as well.
After the release of the Hotfolder app for Windows in 2021, we’re delighted to announce the version’s availability for MacOS. Available from the official MacOS store, after quick configuration, the app enables you to have your media directly on your Mac. Accessible from the desktop notification bar, you drag and drop your media in one mouse click.
