Ephoto Dam 4.0: the new generation of DAM

It’s here: the new version, Ephoto Dam 4.0, has been released! The new interface, new smart search facets, advanced versioning, and new plugins for WordPress 5 and Drupal 9 will surprise you and help you effectively showcase your media and your image.

Ephoto Dam 4: A new design

Ephoto Dam got a fabulous makeover and offers a new dynamic interface. The homepage now displays all of your featured media on the same page, or it can display a homepage slide show with items of your choice. Ephoto’s tabs and modules have also changed. You’ll find some new names and icons.  For example, the Search, Selection, and Indexing tabs are now Search, Projects, and Edit, to better match the features that they offer.

Now, you can customize the theme of your interface and activate dark or light mode through your personal account manager.

To save you a lot of time, the search engine can be accessed from every tab in Ephoto Dam.

Search tab

• Deeper searches: version 4.0 helps you find your media more easily. New facet entries have been added to refine your searches, such as the People criterion, which you can use to display only files that have recognized people. Additionally, the Keywords and Reports facets have evolved. You can now filter directly by specific keywords, reports, and collections.
• There are new options for downloading and exporting videos: when directly downloading a video, from the Options, you can add subtitles in the language of your choice, or you can directly download a subtitling file in SRT, WebVTT, or SSA format. You can also download the video with audio description.
• Version management: Ephoto Dam 4 allows you to view, share, download, and edit the different versions of your media. The user can clone a current version or import a new version, perform retouches, and share a specific version.

Projects tab

You can now organize the order of your albums in the list and the order of your files in albums, simply by dragging and dropping. You can also copy the sharing link for an album directly from the sharing window.

To further improve editing, the Modify and Other modules have been added. The Modify module allows you to modify the versions of your media, perform retouches, and add subtitles to your videos, with three format options. The Other module is for administration of files, connected files, planned tasks, and attachments.

• Ephoto Dam comes in multiple languages: version 4.0 allows you to index a descriptive field with identical values in every language. The value entered into the indexing field will be copied over identically into every language.
• Import your media from your desktop thanks to the hot folder. The hot folder allows you to import files directly from your desktop without having to open the Ephoto software. Select a folder from your computer to be synchronized with Ephoto Dam.  Media dropped in that folder will be automatically added to your account in the application.
