TOURISM

Heading for the Breton coast with our DAM solution.

Dedicated to enhancing the tourist appeal of Brittany, Tourisme Bretagne is responsible for developing the region’s tourism offering and promoting its territory, which welcomes millions of tourists each year. Showcasing this destination — which involves producing a large volume of content — made the implementation of a new DAM solution in 2025 essential.

Showcasing a flagship destination

With 111 million tourist nights recorded in 2024 and 80,900 jobs in the region, Brittany is increasingly attracting visitors. To innovate and attract new tourists, Tourisme Bretagne must produce numerous materials and ensure multiple exchanges with professionals and external providers. Eve Diquelou, Digital Marketing and Content Manager at Tourisme Bretagne, shares the challenges of adopting Ephoto Dam, a tool that has become indispensable for the organization.

A few years ago, Tourisme Bretagne turned to a Digital Asset Management solution for managing its media. No longer meeting the expectations of the constantly evolving organization, the Promotion - Communication team chose a more intuitive and ergonomic solution: Ephoto Dam.

The needs were numerous:

  • Centralize all digital content purchased or produced internally, regardless of format, in a single structured space,
  • Improve accessibility to resources for all employees as well as tourism professionals and journalists, with a fluid interface and optimized search capabilities,
  • Facilitate sharing and collaboration between departments, partners, and providers, through download, selection, or quick sharing features,
  • Enhance traceability and control of usage rights, with precise metadata (end of rights dates, credits, usage contexts), reducing the risk of misuse.

All media from Tourisme Bretagne is used or reused by multiple internal departments and distributed across multiple platforms (website, content creation, campaigns, social networks, external partners). Monitoring is therefore crucial.

  • Anticipate, automate, and communicate effectively on the management of usage rights deadlines for external users.

The DAM tool therefore had to be redesigned globally to streamline workflows. This new tool is an essential lever for structuring, enhancing, and securing their digital assets.

Fine-tuned media management

The integration of Ephoto Dam allowed the Tourisme Bretagne team to gather all their media (9500 photos and more than 1600 videos) into a single tool.

“The implementation of Ephoto Dam has significantly improved the organization and management of our media.”

Mass indexing was notably used to index their entire database more quickly and efficiently. The mass indexing module allows files to be indexed in bulk based on data entered in an imported Excel matrix. Practical and functional, this feature saves considerable time.

Connecting their tools with our extensions (Office Suite, Canva, for example) also represents a significant time savings for the internal team, who can use the media directly without having to download it first. A good practice that is also more sustainable to limit storage.

Given the large number of platform users, whether internal or from institutional partners, tourism professionals, tour operators, or the press, flexibility was an essential criterion. Thanks to the customization of metadata display and user journey according to user profiles, Ephoto Dam facilitates access to media for everyone and secures usage.

“The ability to be notified of rights expirations, for both internal and external users, is also a real benefit, ensuring better control over media rights. The tool really adapts to our needs, which is a true asset.”

Tourisme Bretagne has also chosen a Front Office to make its assets available.

A DAM for all services

A project that started in 2025 and promises great prospects! Tourisme Bretagne looks further for the use of its DAM solution and wants it to become the transversal tool for all services of the structure.

Next step: Further structure its use by opening media collections dedicated to the BtoB marketing department, before gradually extending it to other departments of the structure.
