To improve the management and distribution of its media, France’s largest stadium put its trust in Einden’s Ephoto Dam software. Stade de France selected our SaaS offering and a media distribution website featuring responsive web design and custom styling for the Stade de France brand in order to be even more efficient and ensure growth.
With over 400,000 media, Stade de France has a massive media database that requires constant, high-powered management to match the stadium’s world renown. Because of the nature of the stadium’s business, it is constantly adding new media to its library representing the events, concerts, and sports contests that take place there.
The organization of files in Ephoto Dam—by collections, reports, and keywords—facilitates the management and administration of such a large database by enabling structured, transparent sorting of media in directories.
In addition to choosing our SaaS mode, Stade de France requested that the Ephoto Dam software and its media database be hosted by Einden so that it could free itself from investments in hardware and the maintenance of server infrastructure.
The cloud architecture of the DAM software relies on a dedicated platform made up of virtual servers. Each service (and each server) of the platform is monitored in real time and can be automatically relayed without service interruptions.
As such, Stade de France benefits from the full power of the Ephoto Dam software and from the robust security of its cloud architecture.
Stade de France hosts events for all different audiences, and those events are covered by numerous news media professionals from around the world.
Stade de France’s media distribution website, a photo library powered by Ephoto Dam, makes available to those professionals numerous media in a dedicated space for them. Media professionals are able to independently search for images. They have more options and greater independence in ordering images.
According to the user rights that they have, professionals with access to the media distribution website can either freely download media or order media. The stadium’s IT Department then just has to confirm or refuse the media orders via emails sent. If an order is confirmed, the requester directly receives the download link for their selected media.
For those who don’t have access to the online media library, Stade de France can share with them the download link for a selection of images. That link has a customizable duration of validity so that they stadium can always control the distribution of its media.
“Since 2001, I’ve been managing the image database for Stade de France. The production of media (photos and videos) is proportional to the number of events held. We reached a point where it was difficult, or almost impossible, to search for something among our 400,000 media.
After a request for proposals, we chose to work with Einden and adopted their Ephoto Dam software. Ephoto Dam is ergonomic, easy to use, and offers numerous, very useful tools, such as the tracking of downloads and validation through a simplified workflow.
After putting a lot of work into creating a catalogue of keywords, we were able to start indexing our media.
The Einden team is very professional and listens to us. They are always available to answer our technical questions and support us with implementing Ephoto Dam.
As of now, after four months of using the software, in-house staff are giving positive feedback. We are finally able to take full advantage of our media database because Ephoto Dam has opened it up to us.”
