Ephoto Event 2024: second edition!

Calendar icon

On 24 September, we organised the second edition of our Ephoto Event to present the new version of Ephoto Dam: version 5.0.

Building on its success in 2022, Ephoto Event was due for a comeback. But for this new edition, we’ve gone one step further to meet our customers’ expectations as fully as possible. The programme included a new venue, new speakers, new case studies and round tables on 5 themes. Want to know a bit more? We’re off!

A second edition in the heart of Paris

The entire Einden team was on hand to present Ephoto Dam 5.0. It’s important for us to stay close to our customers and keep the lines of communication open. This event is an opportunity to meet up again, share what’s new on the DAM market and learn about developments in the solution, as well as introducing the team.

Presentation of new products

Archimag, our loyal partner for this event, opened the conference. Perles d’Histoire, Activo and Einden were able to discuss the challenges of AI and digital sovereignty on the DAM market, thanks to a very interesting discussion on digital transformation within organisations.

Round table discussion on the theme of

Radouan Andrea Mounecif and Louis Fiacre Franchet d’Esperey from Perles d’Histoire were able to give their views on the subject as a heritage engineering and consultancy agency. Isabelle Roy and Frédéric Sanuy from Activo were also on hand to share their approach as a consultancy specialising in DAM and PIM.

The conference then moved on to the moment the guests had been waiting for: the presentation of the new version.

Arnaud Bour, CEO of Einden, accompanied by Bérenger Bosselut, Sales Manager, and Jérémy Moreau, Project Manager, presented some of the new features: the new Front Office, new plugins, bulk indexing and much more. A major release that meets a wide range of needs.

It was also an opportunity for our team to preview the teasers that reflect all the new features in this new version. Now it’s your turn to discover them!

Pauline Le Clerc from Perles d’Histoire also focused on the promotion and preservation of corporate heritage.

Unprecedented use cases

The morning continued to be punctuated by feedback. Léa Quagliara, Digital Project Manager at Alter Anjou Loire Territoire, and Sergey Obolonsky, Information Curator at Secours Catholique’s Communications Department, shared their projects with us. We were able to find out about their organisation and, above all, the importance of the DAM in enhancing their audiovisual collections. Different approaches and projects that enrich our vision of DAM.

It’s always a pleasure for our team to be able to share and highlight case studies with our customers and explain all the stages involved in bringing an organisation’s media to life.

Inspiring round-table discussions

The second edition of this event means something new. For this second event, we wanted to get even closer to our customers so that we could listen to them even more closely. To achieve this, we have organised round tables on different themes around version 5.0:

  • A round table to present the new features of version 5.0 was an obvious choice. Arnaud Bour, head of Einden, and Nicolas Berger, developer, were able to present some of the 40 new features while discussing the current needs of our customers. This allows us to take stock of our customers’ development needs and understand their expectations.
  • A discussion on the new plugins was organised by Emilie Sapin, trainer and documentalist, and Claire-Aline Haestie, developer. They gave live demonstrations of plugins for the Office 365 suite, the Google Workspace suite, the Adobe Suite, Prestashop, Figma, Canva, etc. Ephoto Dam is connected to a host of tools, the aim being to create a complete and intuitive ecosystem.
  • The new customised Front Office made its grand appearance at the event. Customers were given a sneak preview of its completely revamped interface by Production Project Manager Jérémy Moreau and developer Thibault Roche. They were able to share the genesis of the project and the objectives of this new-generation Front Office, a veritable showcase for your digital assets.
  • The advances made by our labcom DAMIA Lab were also an important topic at this event. For the occasion, labcom president Philippe Carré was on hand with Thierry Urruty and our three PhD students to present the various AI projects that have been integrated into the solution. Since 2022, they have been working on facial detection and recognition, search by similarity and they are continuing work on automatic indexing specialising in the customer corpus.
  • Finally, Martin Malapert, Iconographer and Head of Production, and Fares Cherif, Developer, focused on documentary language and discussed the best practices to be put in place for documentary policy. They also discussed the recovery of data and the enhancement of media through the Ephoto Dam ecosystem.

These round tables were a real success. The discussions with our team and between each customer were much appreciated. So we’re going to be planning new opportunities for discussion over the next few months to create a user club. Stay tuned!

Many thanks!

This event is evolving and expanding thanks to feedback from our customers, who have been following us for several years. It’s a not-to-be-missed opportunity to keep abreast of the latest developments in our solution and to talk to our team. We were delighted to be able to see you again. We look forward to seeing you at the next Ephoto Event 😉
