The #OnDAM Paris 2022 conferences took place on 29 and 30 November, bringing together over 25 DAM stakeholders around 30 high-quality conferences, business workshops and customer feedback. Ephoto Dam attended the event as Silver sponsor and it was very rewarding!
For two days, we were able to meet, discuss and share with other DAM stakeholders and above all, we took advantage of several conferences on different themes. Many speakers including Elisabeth Moreno, Former French Minister for Equality and Diversity and Luc Julia, Scientific Director at Renault and co-designer of the voice assistant Siri, were present to share their experiences and valuable advice.
Against a backdrop of climate change, the theme of ecology was also mentioned from the perspective of DAM’s carbon footprint. Many technological solutions were provided to streamline the use of media, solutions that are easy to implement and which will now form an integral part of a DAM project.
In terms of artificial intelligence or automatic learning, major advances are arriving on the DAM market especially in terms of search assistance and indexing as well as in the field of artificial image generation. This gives the DamiaLab Joint Laboratory undertaken by Ephoto Dam and the French National Research Agency even more legitimacy. It is based on the principle that artificial intelligence has meaning if it is applied and effective in a given corpus.
Another conference focused on historical asset management by museums provided insight into the management of the media of collections of artworks or objects through DAM. DAM is very well placed to carry out this management due to the modularity of its interface and the detailed configuration of the documentary files it provides. All this combined with its pure image power (versioning, mass distribution, text recognition) makes it a very beneficial tool in these specific document management frameworks.
You can find all the conference replays on Frédéric Sanuy’s Youtube channel.
Ephoto Dam was delighted to sponsor this event. The meetings and discussions were constructive and very interesting. The world of DAM is developing more and more in France and we’re delighted to see that the market is taken into consideration by players like Activo.
We can’t wait to take part in the third edition next year, which may surprise us once again. So, we’ll see you at OnDAM 2023!
