After being selected by the Société d’Exploitation de la Tour Eiffel (SETE), the company that operates the Eiffel Tower, Ephoto Dam is now being used by another major player in France’s tourism industry: the Paris-Ile-de-France Regional Committee for Tourism (CRT Paris-IdF). This entity is tasked with promoting and showcasing one of the world’s top destinations for tourists.

The Ephoto Dam solution chosen for Paris tourism

The CRT Paris-IdF selected Ephoto Dam because it’s easy to use and offers a number of related services. With our help, a media library customized for the CRT was created. This new tool now helps the CRT Paris-IdF use dynamic communications and achieve its main objectives under the best possible conditions. Those objectives are:

  • the development of high-quality offerings that meet high standards,
  • boosting the attractiveness of Paris and the Ile-de-France region,
  • building visitor loyalty,
  • maintaining the economic vitality of the tourism sector and making it sustainable.

Personalized support

The CRT Paris-IdF asked our team to transfer its existing digital media so that it could resume management of its digital media library in the new system while guaranteeing a short transition period.

Additionally, with the “turnkey” digital media library offering chosen, the CRT Paris-IdF benefited from the expertise of our documentalists specializing in images. After our team performed a study of the database and workflow, they provided a complete indexing language to fit the needs of the CRT. Our team also indexed their media, guaranteeing protection of the rights associated with the media and excellent complementarity between the keyword directory (thesaurus) and the media descriptions.

Our advice and expertise helped optimize users’ searches within the media library. All current and future media will now be very quickly available to users.

Deployment of the media library website (front office)

With the expertise and latest web technologies used by Einden’s teams, a sophisticated media library website was created and connected to the Ephoto Dam software. It includes:

  • registration forms that add new users into groups with specific user rights according to their job,
  • sharing of links for downloading directly from the front office,
  • the option to create your own selections,
  • public access to the front office with curated portfolios from Ephoto Dam.

As of now, the media library already has several hundred accounts (mainly external users) and continues to onboard new users.
