Thursday 22 September was a big day for the whole Einden team! The first Ephoto Event 2022, at the Cercle National des Armées, in Paris.
A filling breakfast gave us the chance to talk with our customers and partners about DAM market developments and their experiences using Ephoto Dam daily.
The presence of experts allowed the visitors to learn best practices and practical guidance for managing and optimizing their media bases. For iconographers and communication managers looking for ideas, this was a chance not to be missed.
The morning was led by Archimag, a partner with whom we have worked since the inception of Ephoto Dam. Thanks to an interactive quiz, we were able to see how the visitors used their digital assets and what their needs were. Sharing and discussion were the order of the day.
We welcomed Philippe Sartori, the Commercial Director in charge of the Division of Professional Distribution and Solutions at INA (the National Audiovisual Institute). We were interested in the role of INA and the importance of managing audiovisual assets in public services. It was a fantastic conversation that taught us about the difficulties of effective digital asset management.
Then the long awaited moment arrived: the presentation of the new version 4.1 of the Ephoto Dam solution. Arnaud Bour, the CEO of Einden, together with Bérenger Bosselut, Business Development Manager, showed some of the new version’s 51 innovations.
We also profited from the involvement of the consulting firm Activo, which was represented by Malika Kechich, Executive Director and Frédéric Sanuy, CEO. As specialists in the field for more than 20 years, they shared their recommendations and the points to consider in order to ensure the success of a DAM project. We will see them again at the first conference 100% devoted to DAM OnDAM 2022 on 29 and 30 November.
Following these various presentations, each more interesting than the last, we took a moment to relax around a gourmet break. All the guests gathered around the tables for coffee, orange juice, and little pastries. Users had the opportunity to talk with the presenters and the Einden team.
To maintain this strong momentum, we wanted to present real-world use cases and several approaches to using the software solution.
Caroline Maufroid, Iconographer at Science Po, and Tania Wojciechowski, Photothecary at the Grand Est Region, entered into the spirit of things. They each manage hundreds of thousands of media files, and their input on the Ephoto Dam solution helped us comprehend DAM’s crucial role in each of their structures. We were able to learn more about their organizational structures and the expanding significance of managing digital media.
It was crucial for the team to wrap up the morning by showcasing our major 2022 project: the joint ANR DAMIA Lab. Philippe Carré, Director of the joint laboratory, Vice-President of Information Systems and Digital at the University of Poitiers and member of the XLIM institute (CNRS) took the stage. He discussed the project, the participants, the research areas, and he gave the audience an overview of the AI challenges facing Ephoto Dam. A long-term project, which has only just begun!
This first event was a real success thanks to our customers and the quality of the presentations. We look forward to seeing you at the next Ephoto Event. 😉
